We are happy to map and approve your existing store location. Gallery owners choose the location of their gallery. If you currently do not have a store, The Thomas Kinkade Company can provide key demographic data and other site selection information with current sales trends to help new galleries make the best choice possible. All new locations must be approved by TKC.

What is the average square footage of a gallery?

Currently, galleries exist with retail footprints of 300 to 3,000 square feet. The average gallery is about 750 to 1,000 square feet.

How long will it take to open a gallery?

If you have an existing store the sign-up process is fairly easy and quick only taking a few days to a couple of weeks depending on the strata level you choose. After financial approval, it generally takes one-six months to open a new gallery, depending on the market and individual circumstances.

What is the average start-up cost?

Start-up costs for the different gallery types vary. For existing galleries opening orders range from only $500 - $10,000 depending on what fits best, your needs and budget. The estimated initial investment cost for a new gallery depends on the market, size of the gallery and labor costs.
